Every one experiences anxiety in their life at one point or the other. St.John’s wort can be used to relieve anxiety and depression. Gingseng is an anti anxiety herb with properties that can reduce stress and help maintain emotional balance. Lemon balm is another calming herb that can be beneficial for those with anxiety problems.

A massage and a bath with essential oils is so relaxing and can relieve any kind of anxiety. Oils that can have a boosting effect on your mind and body are lavender, geranium, lemon, sandalwood, sweet marjoram, cedar wood etc. Aromatherapy has very effective remedies for anxiety, depression and sleep disorders. It can make your mind calm and relaxed and leave you feeling pampered and good. Adding equal quantities of baking soda and ginger powder in your bath also can be relaxing.

Make a drink with a few almonds soaked in water and blended in warm milk with a little bit of nutmeg and ginger. Have this before bedtime and you will feel better. Orange juice with a pinch of nutmeg and honey can also relax your nerves. Inhaling the orange peels can also be relaxing.

Deficiencies of certain vitamins and mineral can cause anxiety and depression and hence it is important to have a check on what you eat. Make sure that you have proper intake of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin B complexes that are vital for emotional stability. Anxiety control also has to do with the way you think and respond to situations. Developing a positive attitude towards life can be highly beneficial in preventing and controlling anxiety. Exercise can improve blood circulation and can be a healthy choice in your fight against anxiety.
