Can Sleeping Pills Cause Chronic Fatigue?; polyDNA Reviews the Medical Literature

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) June 16, 2014

polyDNA’s most recent survey, taken in June 2014, showed that 45% of respondents wanted to know if their prescription sleeping pills or other tranquilizers could cause chronic fatigue. The answer is yes. Studies show that a common side effect of these drugs is a feeling of physical and mental fatigue. (See the AARP, from June 12, 2012) (1) Drugs used to treat anxiety disorders, agitation muscle spasms, and insomnia are called benzodiazepines, or more commonly, tranquilizers or sleeping pills. “Benzodiazepines can cause sedation and fatigue by dampening activity in key parts of the central nervous system (CNS). People who take a benzodiazepine for more than two or three weeks may develop a tolerance to the drug, and over time may need to take increasing doses to achieve the same effect, only worsening their fatigue. Long-term effects also may include muscle weakness. It’s important to remember that it takes older people up to three times longer than younger people to flush these drugs out of their bodies. The ensuing buildup of the drug in the body puts older people at a much higher risk for experiencing fatigue and for developing physical or psychological dependence. Benzodiazepine withdrawal can also cause fatigue.” (1) These drugs can also weaken the immune system. “Sedation agents have clearly been shown to alter cellular function and other mediators of the immune system.” (See The Annals of Pharmacotherapy, from January 2014) (2) This weakening of the immune system can allow latent viral infections, with viruses such as EBV, CMV, HCV, etc. to increase in number and cause a feeling of physical and mental weakness and fatigue.

polyDNA recommends that people take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin against latent viruses that can cause fatigue. The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against EBV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the (EBV and other viruses)…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3) In addition, this natural antiviral was recently proven to reduce mental and physical fatigue in a post-marketing clinical study that followed FDA guidelines.

Both products can be ordered online on the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin websites.

Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

Which sleeping pills can cause fatigue?

There are many. They include alprazolam (Xanax), clonazepam (Klonopin), diazepam (Valium), lorazepam (Ativan) and temazepam (Restoril). (1) Individuals can check if their sleeping pills cause fatigue by inserting the name of the drug in the search bar located here: http://www.drugs.com.

What evidence shows that sleeping pills and other tranquilizers weaken the immune system?

The drug classes mentioned above, “Analgesic and sedation agents have clearly been shown to alter cellular function and other mediators of the immune system.” (1) Moreover, another study showed that “the immune system and blood vessels can be adversely affected to a greater extent by short-term chronic administration of alprazolam (Xanax). (See Interdisciplinary Toxicology, from September 2011) (4)

How is a weak immune system linked to fatigue?

According to Dr. Hanan Polansky’s theory of Microcompetition, the decrease in the immune system will increase the number of latent viruses in these patients. One typical virus that infects most people is the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). Research shows that in high concentrations, these viruses cause fatigue. Therefore, polyDNA suggests reducing the numbers of latent viruses in the body to reduce physical and mental fatigue. Individuals can read more about Dr. Polansky’s theory here: http://www.cbcd.net.

Suppressing the immune system can also lead to a reactivation of latent viruses in the body. This further weakening of the immune system can allow an infection with a latent virus, such as with EBV, to create conditions favorable to viral reactivation and even more intense feelings of fatigue. In fact, the virus itself is responsible for feelings of “extreme fatigue.” (See the CDC, last updated January 7, 2014) (5)

polyDNA recommends that individuals who take prescription sleeping pills or other tranquilizers also take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin against latent viruses, such as EBV.

polyDNA is a biotechnology company that develops dietary supplements using the unique scientific method developed by Dr. Hanan Polansky, which is based on Computer Intuition.

In addition to his unique scientific method, Dr. Polansky published the highly acclaimed scientific discovery, called Microcompetition with Foreign DNA. The discovery explains how foreign DNA fragments, and specifically, DNA of latent viruses, cause most major diseases.

polyDNA developed Gene-Eden-VIR, an antiviral natural remedy that helps the immune system kill latent viruses.
